WAKING Emotional Action Adventure Game

WAKING emotional action adventure game developed between 2015 & 2019 by Jason Oda and a small team of freelancers. Recently teaming up with tinyBuild Games, Waking plans a release date for this summer, 2019.

About Waking

WAKING is an emotional action adventure set in your own mind as you lay in a coma. Will you give up to the forces of darkness and softly descend into death? Or will you prevail using the only weapons you have: your most treasured memories and the people you love?

Did you ever wish there was a game that would allow you to dive into your own subconscious? Revisit your most treasured memories and confront your fears and desires. Meet a pet that died long ago and the people you love. Fight the demons within you and deal with your childhood traumas.

WAKING presents a unique mix of souls-like high challenge in combat, a vast ever-changing world waiting to be explored, and deep meditational experience of unmatched emotional range.

A Personal Experience

Ask yourself — what are the sacred relics of your life? A handful of dirt from your home town? A pet that died long ago? The eyes of the one you love?

At the end of quests, you are asked to close your eyes and listen to a guided meditation where you envision memories from your life. You then enter these memories into the game through a series of choices. These customized memories become your weapons in the game.

WAKING asks you to confront your fears, your desires, your personal demons, and your childhood traumas. By your side are the people you love, who you can summon to lead you through the unknown.

To wake, you must reconnect the synapses of your mind and unlock the mystery of what led you into the coma.
