Drone Strike Force Open-Beta Weekend

by Thelget

Odisi Games and NGD Studios announced Drone Strike Force will launch for PC via Steam on August 16th. Drone Strike Force is a high-octane competitive, skill-based game that is bringing new challenges to the FPS genre with its unique free-flying competitive gameplay.  Get in on the Drone Strike Force open-beta which begins Aug. 9th at noon EST and runs until Sunday the 11th.

About Drone Strike Force

In the mid-21st century, citizen soldiers and corporations battle it out against each other to claim control of cities ravaged by global warming. Command next-generation military UAV drones via a state-of-the-art Drone Brain Meld Interface (DBMi) that provides instantaneous neural control. Work in teams to capture critical control nodes. Gain experience from battles to upgrade your drone with added functionality and add new drones to your garage.

Fly and shoot at high velocity while using the environment and your drone’s agile capabilities to outmaneuver enemies and give your team the win. Choose from a number of unique drones, weapons, perks, and abilities to customize each loadout to your own personal playstyle.

Game Modes

Drone Strike Force currently has two game modes. Domination and King of the Hill.

In Domination [Currently set to 6v6 through 8v8] there are two teams and three nodes throughout the map. Each node, when captured, adds points to that team. When a captured node is being overtaken and the opposite team is still present, that node will show as contested and the team must eliminate all enemy presence in order to recapture it. The first team that gets to 1000 points wins the match. Since Domination is a game of strategy, communication with your team is vital to win.

In King of the Hill [Currently set to 3v3 through 5v5] there are also two teams but only one node in the center. This node will need to be taken similar to Domination. Since there is only one node, confrontation is going to change the style of the match since both teams are going to fight for that node mostly together. Rules are similar to Domination but the captured node will give points faster to the team than in Domination. In King of the Hill the match looks more like a Team Deathmatch and strategies to win are more aggressive.
